Join us for the next Songs and Stories event, “Accessibility in the Arts: A Panel for Promoters, Musicians, Artists & Arts Managers,” on Thursday, November 13 at 7 p.m. at Potomac Station Coffeehouse.

This community discussion brings together accessibility experts and advocates to share how we can make the arts more inclusive for people with disabilities; from performance spaces and events to creative collaboration.

Meet our panelists:

Moderator: Gerald Homme
Manager of Talent Acquisition & Technology at Bender Consulting Services, Gerald leads efforts to place and mentor people with disabilities in competitive employment and oversees digital accessibility projects. A disability advocate and performing artist himself, he plays saxophone with The Sun Champs and serves on the Dormont Arts Board.

Allison Reiber
Field & Facility Assessment Technician with Bender Consulting, Allison evaluates public sites for ADA compliance and accessibility. A Pittsburgh vocalist performing with The CauseReuben’s Painted Mandolin, and The Sun Champs, she combines her passion for music and accessibility in everything she does.

Joan Stein
Founder and principal of Stein Consulting, Joan has been a national leader in ADA education and compliance since 1990. She serves as the National ADA Consultant for the U.S. Golf Association and continues to help organizations nationwide create accessible, inclusive environments.

Together, they’ll explore how disability intersects with art, community, and access; and invite your stories and questions in an open conversation.

We hope you’ll join us for this powerful evening of stories, learning, and community connection.
